Lab-grown diamond jewellery startup ONYA has raised ₹12.5 crore in a pre-series A funding round led by Divisa Family Office, with participation from existing investor Zeropearl VC.
The company plans to use the latest funding to open more stores, initially focusing on Pune and Hyderabad, while expanding its online presence and personalisation capabilities. It will also invest in research and development around jewellery design and manufacturing.
Founded by Himani Yadav and Gaurav Choudhary, ONYA has expanded to eight flagship stores across Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad within 20 months of starting operations. The company plans to expand through a combination of company-owned and franchise stores.
The startup is positioning itself around a design-led approach to lab-grown diamond jewellery rather than competing solely on price. Its portfolio includes the ONYA Signature Collection, inspired by Neoclassical architecture, alongside its patented ONYA Setting, an in-house ring setting designed to optimise light reflection and diamond brilliance.
The company offers IGI-certified VVS EF lab-grown diamonds set in BIS-hallmarked gold, along with lifetime exchange and an 80 per cent buyback guarantee.
Yadav said ONYA was founded after her own experience shopping for an engagement ring and finding a gap between traditional jewellery designs and the cost of mined diamonds.
“ONYA was born from the belief that fine jewellery shouldn’t be locked away in safes for rare occasions-it should be lived in, cherished, and worn every day as an expression of personal identity,” said Yadav.
The round follows ONYA’s ₹5.5 crore seed funding, which also saw participation from angel investors including the founders of MyGate and UrbanVault.
