City Bureau, September 27 (Namaste Telangana): The Congress government is confusing the people of Greater Hyderabad in the name of Indiramma Indla Towers. Right from the announcement of the scheme to the allotment of houses, the applicants are confused. From disqualifying applicants on lame excuses to allotment of houses, it is causing serious problems. Applications have been received from eligible people for Indiramma Indla Towers at 16 places in 16 constituencies.
Lotteries were drawn and the beneficiaries announced without releasing the final list of eligibles. They are also assigned a number. However, houses were not allotted to some beneficiaries. If you ask what this is, you have been allotted a house due to technical problems.. They have covered up that your name was included in the lottery due to a technical error even though you are not eligible. Now, in the name of inquiry, they are trying to remove half of the people from the eligible list as they are in one constituency and applied in another constituency.
The inauguration ceremony started without fully selecting the deserving people for each tower. Since the inception of the Indiramma housing scheme, no complete transparency has been observed at any stage. Are they allocating houses to the real deserving ones? Doubts are arising.
The consent of the authorities under the pressure of the government
Since the announcement of the Indiramma Indla scheme till the inauguration ceremony, the government has not been able to make the officials work at full capacity. Along with the screening of applications, identification of the eligible, and selection of the beneficiaries, the steps are being taken. Due to insufficient time given to the officials, mistakes are made at every stage. Due to this, Indiramma houses are left as unclaimed grapes for the real deserving ones. At least those who got their names in the lottery are worried about getting houses as the opening ceremony is being conducted before the selection of the beneficiaries is complete. Similarly, officials have to work day and night as only two to three days are given for each stage.
Already the housing board is understaffed. How many staff members of the Congress government handed over the Indiramma housing scheme to the housing board? It is not estimated how the selection of beneficiaries will be possible in 16 constituencies with those present. Due to this, there is less staff and it is difficult to complete the selections in a short time. Technical problems are arising in this context. In some places, mistakes are being made like taking names of one person instead of another in the lottery and putting the original people aside. Even now, people want the government to take up the Indiramma Indla process according to the field level conditions.
